October 20
On Monday we sang a song, "Stirring the Brew," and we thought of what could possibly be in our Halloween brew (some suggestions: chocolate, a pink pumpkin, a white pumpkin, a potion...). Then we read "The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything." Everyone wanted to repeat the word, "Boo!" We had an opportunity to try out the Smart Board, a computer system that allows children to write on a screen and then work is printed. The Chipmunks and The Starfish worked on one to one correspondence, looking at a written number and making an object to correspond with the number. Thanks to Ms. Downing for the smart board lesson.
