Hi Everybody

Welcome back after the Holiday. Hope it was a wonderful day for all of you. Well the Chipmunks were back in full swing on Tuesday, December 3, with another visit to the book THE GINGERBREAD MAN. But now since the children are so familiar with the story, they found it fun to interact with the story, by stomping their feet and singing "Run, run, as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread man". Since our theme this week has been visiting the world of baking, the children joined into an activity where we pulled out index cards which spelled out the delicious ingredients that go into baking the actual bread and posted them on a cardboard gingerbread man. This was followed by singing a rhyme about how we bake the bread.

On Wednesday, we continued with the baking theme by becoming a pizza, singing the song "I AM A PIZZA". But the big thrill came when each child actually made their own pizza with English muffins putting on as much sauce and cheese as they saw fit. Having the pizza added to their lunch, was a double treat! Hey, being a baker is fun!
